Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of three medications: artemether and lumefantrine (antimalarials) with amoxicillin (antibiotic). This combination may be used to treat concurrent malaria and bacterial infections, particularly in pediatric patients with malaria and pneumonia. Artemether-lumefantrine works against the erythrocytic stages of Plasmodium falciparum by inhibiting nucleic acid and protein synthesis, while amoxicillin is a beta-lactam antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis.
