Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**AS15** is a GSK-developed liposomal immunological adjuvant system used with recombinant tumor antigens to create investigational antigen-specific cancer immunotherapies. It contains monophosphoryl lipid A, QS-21, and CpG 7909. Monophosphoryl lipid A activates Toll-like receptor 4 and CpG 7909 activates Toll-like receptor 9, promoting innate immune activation, dendritic-cell and B-cell stimulation, antigen-specific antibody responses, and cytotoxic T-cell responses. AS15 was evaluated with cancer antigens including MAGE-A3, NY-ESO-1, and dHER2 in clinical studies of melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, and multiple myeloma.
