Overview

This is a combination therapy consisting of aspirin, trametinib, and dabrafenib. Dabrafenib is a BRAF inhibitor that blocks the activity of mutated BRAF V600E, while trametinib is a MEK inhibitor that blocks the activity of MEK enzymes. Together, they target the MAPK pathway in tumors with BRAF V600E mutations. The addition of aspirin to this combination is being investigated to potentially reduce fever (a common side effect of dabrafenib and trametinib) and possibly improve progression-free survival and overall survival outcomes.
