Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Asset 3 is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy currently in the discovery phase, developed by Galapagos' CellPoint division. It is designed to target an undisclosed antigen for the treatment of solid tumors, specifically small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) and neuro-endocrine tumors (NETs). The program was part of Galapagos' portfolio utilizing a decentralized manufacturing platform intended to provide point-of-care CAR-T cell production. However, in October 2025, Galapagos announced plans to wind down the CellPoint division, leaving the future development status of this preclinical asset uncertain.
