Overview
Astragalus and Zedoary is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal combination consisting of the roots of *Astragalus membranaceus* (Huangqi) and the rhizomes of *Curcuma zedoaria* (Ezhu). This herb pair is frequently utilized in TCM for its synergistic effects in tonifying Qi and invigorating blood to remove stasis. In the context of oncology and gastroenterology, it is investigated for its potential to inhibit the progression of precancerous gastric lesions, such as gastric atrophy and intestinal metaplasia, to gastric cancer. The mechanism involves immunomodulation, inhibition of cell proliferation, induction of apoptosis, and regulation of the tumor microenvironment.
