Overview

AT-301 is an inactivated H5N1 influenza virion vaccine developed by Medigen Biotechnology. Produced using Madin-Darby Canine Kidney (MDCK) cell culture technology rather than traditional egg-based methods, it is designed to provide active immunization against the H5N1 subtype of the influenza A virus (avian influenza). The vaccine functions by inducing a humoral immune response, specifically stimulating the production of neutralizing antibodies directed against the viral hemagglutinin (HA) protein. Clinical evaluation has focused on a Phase 1 prospective study investigating the safety, reactogenicity, and immunogenicity of the vaccine across various dosage levels (7.5 µg, 15 µg, and 30 µg HA) in healthy adult subjects.
