AT-7687 + semaglutide

AT-7687 + semaglutide is an investigational combination therapy being developed by Antag Therapeutics for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes. The combination consists of AT-7687, a first-in-class peptide gastric inhibitory polypeptide receptor (GIPR) antagonist, and semaglutide, a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) agonist. By simultaneously blocking GIPR signaling and activating GLP-1R signaling, the therapy aims to enhance weight loss and improve cardiometabolic and lipid profiles (particularly LDL cholesterol) with a favorable tolerability profile and without the gastrointestinal side effects typically associated with high-dose GLP-1 receptor agonists. The combination is currently in Phase 2a clinical development.
