Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Atebimetinib + cemiplimab is an investigational combination therapy comprising atebimetinib (IMM-1-104), an oral small molecule Deep Cyclic Inhibitor of MEK, and cemiplimab (Libtayo), a monoclonal antibody targeting the PD-1 immune checkpoint. Developed by Immuneering in collaboration with Regeneron, the combination is currently being evaluated for the first-line treatment of patients with RAS-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Atebimetinib is designed to provide potent, transient inhibition of the MAPK pathway to maximize anti-tumor activity while minimizing the toxicities associated with continuous MEK inhibition. This mechanism is intended to synergize with cemiplimab's ability to restore anti-tumor T-cell responses, potentially improving outcomes in patients with RAS-driven malignancies.
