Overview

This is a combination therapy consisting of three agents: **atezolizumab (a PD-L1 checkpoint inhibitor monoclonal antibody, developed by Genentech/Roche)**; **imprime PGG (a novel immunomodulatory beta-glucan, developed by Biothera Pharmaceuticals)**; and **bevacizumab (a monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A, developed by Genentech/Roche)**. Atezolizumab blocks the PD-L1 immune checkpoint pathway to restore the anti-tumor activity of T cells. Imprime PGG is an immunomodulatory beta-glucan that primes innate immune cells (especially neutrophils and monocytes) to foster an enhanced anti-tumor immune response. Bevacizumab inhibits tumor angiogenesis by binding VEGF-A, preventing new blood vessel formation essential for tumor growth. This combination is being investigated in clinical trials primarily targeting solid tumors, including hepatocellular carcinoma and various advanced cancers, in the context of immunotherapy and anti-angiogenic strategies.
