Overview

**Atezolizumab + rHuPH20** is a fixed-dose combination drug composed of atezolizumab (a monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death-ligand 1 [PD-L1]) and recombinant human hyaluronidase PH20 (rHuPH20), formulated for subcutaneous (SC) administration. Atezolizumab functions as an immune checkpoint inhibitor, blocking PD-L1 to enable T-cell mediated anti-tumor activity, while rHuPH20 transiently degrades hyaluronan at the injection site, increasing tissue permeability and enhancing absorption of large-volume biologics when given subcutaneously. This formulation aims to provide an alternative to the intravenous (IV) route for atezolizumab, potentially increasing patient convenience and optimizing drug exposure. The combination is in clinical evaluation for use in oncology, including solid tumors and hematologic malignancies[1][3][5].
