Overview

A combination therapy consisting of atezolizumab (Tecentriq), a PD-L1 inhibitor, and sacituzumab govitecan (Trodelvy), a Trop-2-directed antibody-drug conjugate. This combination is being investigated primarily for triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Atezolizumab works by blocking the PD-L1 pathway, enhancing immune system recognition of cancer cells, while sacituzumab govitecan delivers the topoisomerase inhibitor SN-38 directly to Trop-2-expressing cancer cells, causing DNA damage and cell death.
