Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Atorvo+ is an investigational fixed-dose combination therapy being developed by Indication BioScience for the treatment of coronary heart disease and dyslipidemias, including hypercholesterolemia and atherosclerosis. It consists of atorvastatin, a small molecule HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, and a proprietary orally active solid form of cannabidiol (CBD). The combination is designed to improve cholesterol-lowering outcomes and enhance patient adherence by addressing statin-associated side effects, such as muscle pain and metabolic issues, through CBD's anti-inflammatory and metabolic-modulating properties. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development to assess safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics.
