Autogenous particulate dentin combined with liquid platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF) is a bioactive grafting material used in regenerative dentistry, specifically for socket preservation following tooth extraction to prevent alveolar ridge resorption. The autogenous dentin, derived from the patient's own extracted teeth, serves as an osteoconductive scaffold with a mineral and organic composition nearly identical to bone. Liquid PRF, a second-generation platelet concentrate produced via low-speed centrifugation without anticoagulants, acts as a biological binder (often referred to as 'sticky tooth') and a reservoir for growth factors. It releases high concentrations of Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF), Transforming Growth Factor-beta (TGF-β), and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), which synergistically promote angiogenesis, mesenchymal stem cell recruitment, and osteoblast differentiation to enhance bone healing within the extraction socket.
