Overview

Autologous adipose-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (ADMSCs) are an experimental cell therapy being developed by the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences for the treatment of premature ovarian failure (POF), also known as primary ovarian insufficiency. This therapeutic approach involves the extraction of mesenchymal stem cells from a patient's own adipose tissue, followed by their isolation and subsequent transplantation directly into the ovarian tissue via ultrasound-guided puncture. The mechanism of action is primarily attributed to the paracrine effects of the MSC secretome, which includes the release of growth factors and cytokines that promote neoangiogenesis, reduce apoptosis of granulosa cells, and stimulate the regeneration of the ovarian microenvironment. This process aims to restore follicular development and hormonal balance in women under 40 with idiopathic or drug-induced ovarian failure.
