Autologous adipose-derived regenerative cells + adipose tissue refers to a cell-based therapeutic approach in which a patient's own (autologous) fat tissue is harvested and processed to isolate a population of regenerative cells—primarily mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs)—which are then administered back to the patient. These therapies leverage the multipotent properties of MSCs found abundantly in adipose (fat) tissue, which can differentiate into various cell types and secrete paracrine factors that promote repair and regeneration. The combination may involve direct transplantation of processed lipoaspirate containing both the stromal vascular fraction (SVF; rich in MSCs) and additional supportive components from the original fat matrix. This approach is being investigated for multiple indications including musculoskeletal disorders, systemic sclerosis, liver cirrhosis, neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, wound healing, and other degenerative or inflammatory conditions[2][4][5][6][7][8][9]. Mechanistically, these therapies act through immunomodulation, anti-inflammatory effects, promotion of angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), support for endogenous repair processes via paracrine signaling, and direct differentiation into target tissues.
