Overview

This investigational cell therapy consists of autologous adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) in the form of non-expanded stromal vascular fraction (SVF) combined with activated platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Developed through a collaboration involving the University of Science Ho Chi Minh City, Van Hanh General Hospital, Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital, and GeneWorld Ltd Co, the therapy is being evaluated for the treatment of moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The SVF is isolated from the patient's own adipose tissue, while the PRP is obtained from their peripheral blood. The treatment is administered intravenously, leveraging the immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties of mesenchymal stem cells to reduce the chronic inflammation and airflow obstruction characteristic of COPD.
