Overview

Autologous adoptive immune cells are an investigational cell therapy developed by Shanghai Pudong Hospital for the treatment of refractory solid tumors. The therapeutic process involves the collection of mononuclear cells from a patient's peripheral blood, which are then cultured and expanded *ex vivo* for approximately 15 to 20 days to enhance their anti-tumor activity. The resulting activated immune cells are re-infused into the patient via intravenous infusion, typically in three separate doses. This therapy is primarily evaluated as a component of the SHAPE-T triple therapy regimen, which integrates systemic anti-cancer treatments (such as chemotherapy, PD-1 checkpoint inhibitors, or targeted therapies) with noninvasive electromagnetic wave hyperthermia. The goal of this combined approach is to overcome treatment resistance and improve clinical outcomes in patients with recurrent or metastatic solid tumors who have failed standard first-line therapies.
