Overview

Autologous bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) are multipotent stromal cells harvested from a patient's own bone marrow. These cells possess the capacity for self-renewal and can differentiate into various mesodermal cell types, including osteoblasts, chondrocytes, and adipocytes. In therapeutic applications for reproductive health, BM-MSCs are utilized for their potent immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and pro-regenerative properties. They act primarily through paracrine signaling, secreting a variety of growth factors and cytokines that promote tissue repair, angiogenesis, and the reduction of fibrosis. Specifically, in the treatment of thin endometrium and intrauterine adhesions (Asherman's syndrome), BM-MSCs are intended to regenerate the endometrial lining, thereby improving endometrial thickness and receptivity to support embryo implantation and address infertility.
