This is a combination immunotherapy involving two types of autologous cell products: dendritic cell-activated cytotoxic T lymphocytes (DC-CTL) and tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL). Dendritic cells are harvested from the patient, loaded with tumor antigens, and used to prime and expand cytotoxic T lymphocytes ex vivo. Simultaneously, TILs are isolated from the patient's tumor tissue and expanded to large numbers. The combination of these two cell populations is then re-infused into the patient, aiming to provide a synergistic anti-tumor effect by combining the antigen-specific priming of DC-CTLs with the broad, tumor-resident repertoire of TILs. This approach is currently being investigated by Shenzhen Second People's Hospital for the treatment of advanced breast cancer.
