Autologous natural killer cell-like cytotoxic T-lymphocytes (nCTLs) combined with an alpha-type-1 polarized dendritic cell (alphaDC1) vaccine is an experimental immunotherapy regimen developed by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for the treatment of advanced gynecologic malignancies, including ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancers. The nCTLs are patient-derived T cells that are laboratory-conditioned to express NK-like receptors and cytotoxic functions, allowing them to target tumor cells more effectively. These cells are delivered directly into the peritoneal cavity to target local disease. The alphaDC1 vaccine is a specialized dendritic cell formulation that promotes a Th1-polarized immune environment, enhancing the survival, expansion, and anti-tumor efficacy of the co-administered nCTLs.
