Overview
This autologous natural killer (NK) cell immunotherapy is a cell-based biologic being developed by **Shenzhen Fifth People's Hospital** for the treatment of advanced lung adenocarcinoma. The therapeutic process involves the collection of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from the patient, followed by the ex vivo expansion and activation of NK cells under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions using specialized culture kits (such as those from Morecell Biomedical). The final product, which must consist of at least 80% CD3−CD56+ NK cells, is reinfused into the patient. The therapy aims to leverage the innate anti-tumor activity of NK cells to target and eliminate cancer cells, and it is currently being evaluated in clinical trials to assess its efficacy in patients with and without EGFR mutations.
