This autologous combination therapy consists of adipose-derived stromal vascular fraction (SVF) and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Developed by researchers at King Edward Medical University, it is an investigational biologic treatment for androgenetic alopecia. The PRP component provides a concentrated source of growth factors, including platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), which stimulate hair follicle proliferation and angiogenesis. The SVF component contains a heterogeneous population of cells, including adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSCs), which contribute to tissue regeneration and the modulation of the hair cycle. The therapy is administered via local injection into the scalp to reverse the effects of patterned hair loss.
