This autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy is a cell-based biologic being developed by Hebei Senlang Biotechnology (a subsidiary of Avalon GloboCare) for the treatment of advanced glioblastoma multiforme. The therapeutic process involves the surgical extraction of a patient's own tumor-resident lymphocytes, which are then expanded to large numbers ex vivo. Following a lymphodepletion chemotherapy regimen to create a favorable environment for the cells, the expanded TILs are reinfused into the patient. These lymphocytes are naturally primed to recognize a broad spectrum of patient-specific tumor antigens, enabling a targeted immune response against the malignancy. The therapy is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety and preliminary efficacy in adults with malignant glioblastoma.
