avanafil + rosiglitazone

Avanafil + rosiglitazone is a hypothetical or experimental combination of two small molecule drugs: avanafil, a selective phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor used for erectile dysfunction, and rosiglitazone, a thiazolidinedione used for type 2 diabetes mellitus due to its action as a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) agonist. There is no approved, branded, or widely studied combination product of these agents. Each drug has independent mechanisms: avanafil enhances erectile function via increased nitric oxide-mediated vasodilation, and rosiglitazone enhances insulin sensitivity mainly in adipose tissue and muscle.
