Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AVAXIM 80U Pediatric + TRIMOVAX is a combination vaccine regimen developed by Sanofi Pasteur for the prevention of hepatitis A, measles, mumps, and rubella in children. The regimen consists of AVAXIM 80U Pediatric, an inactivated vaccine containing the GBM strain of the hepatitis A virus (HAV) cultured on MRC-5 human diploid cells and adsorbed onto an aluminum adjuvant, and TRIMOVAX, a trivalent live-attenuated vaccine targeting the measles, mumps, and rubella viruses. Clinical evaluation in Phase 4 trials (such as HAF65) has demonstrated that the concomitant administration of these vaccines at separate injection sites in children aged 12-13 months is safe and does not interfere with the immunogenicity of the individual components, effectively inducing protective antibody titers against all four viral pathogens.
