Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AZD0466 + voriconazole is an investigational drug combination studied primarily to evaluate the safety and pharmacokinetics of AZD0466, a dual BCL2/BCL-XL inhibitor, when co-administered with voriconazole, a triazole antifungal commonly used for prophylaxis or treatment of fungal infections in immunocompromised patients. AZD0466 is a dendrimer-conjugated prodrug of the small molecule AZD4320, designed to inhibit anti-apoptotic proteins BCL2 and BCL-XL, key regulators of cancer cell survival in hematological malignancies. The combination is being evaluated to assess potential drug-drug interactions and tolerability in patients who may require both agents during cancer therapy.
