AZD3366 + ticagrelor + acetylsalicylic acid

This is an experimental **triple combination therapy** consisting of **AZD3366** (a long-acting, recombinant, optimized human CD39L3 apyrase), **ticagrelor** (a P2Y12 receptor antagonist antiplatelet agent), and **acetylsalicylic acid** (aspirin, a cyclooxygenase inhibitor and antiplatelet agent). AZD3366 enhances degradation of extracellular ATP and ADP, increasing adenosine formation, reducing platelet aggregation, and providing potential cardioprotection and anti-inflammatory effects. The combination with ticagrelor and aspirin targets multiple pathways in platelet activation and thrombosis, providing potent and durable inhibition of platelet aggregation. The combination is under clinical investigation (Phase 1) for cardiovascular disease, with evidence of enhanced tissue protection and reduced myocardial injury in preclinical models.
