Overview

AZD5055 + nintedanib is a combination of **AZD5055**, an investigational oral small molecule **Porcupine (PORCN) inhibitor** targeting the Wnt signaling pathway, and **nintedanib**, an approved oral **tyrosine kinase inhibitor** with antifibrotic and antiangiogenic activity. AZD5055 is under development for **idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF)** and other interstitial lung diseases (ILDs), with evidence of target engagement in skin and experimental models supporting its activity in lung tissue. Nintedanib is approved for IPF and other progressive fibrosing ILDs. The combination is being evaluated in clinical trials for effects on pharmacokinetics, safety, and tolerability in healthy volunteers, but no major pharmacokinetic interactions have been observed when co-administered[1][3][5].
