Overview
AZD5305 + enzalutamide is an investigational combination therapy for metastatic prostate cancer consisting of saruparib (AZD5305), a next-generation, highly selective PARP1 inhibitor, and enzalutamide, an androgen receptor inhibitor. AZD5305 inhibits PARP1-mediated DNA repair in cancer cells, thereby enhancing DNA damage and promoting cancer cell death, while enzalutamide blocks androgen receptor signaling required for prostate cancer growth.
