Overview

AZD8205 + saruparib is a combination of two investigational anticancer drugs being studied in clinical trials for the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors, including but not limited to breast cancer, biliary tract cancer, ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, and squamous non-small cell lung cancer. AZD8205 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), designed to selectively deliver a cytotoxic payload to cancer cells expressing a specific target, leading to tumor cell death. Saruparib (AZD5305) is a next-generation PARP inhibitor that impairs DNA repair in cancer cells, resulting in synthetic lethality and cell death, particularly in tumors with defects in homologous recombination repair pathways. The combination aims to enhance anticancer efficacy by targeting cancer cells through distinct and potentially synergistic mechanisms[1][2][3].
