Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AZD8630 + AMG104 is an investigational inhaled combination therapy consisting of two code-named agents (AZD8630 and AMG104), developed as a novel anti-TSLP (thymic stromal lymphopoietin) treatment for moderate-to-severe asthma. This therapy is designed to inhibit TSLP, a key cytokine involved in airway inflammation and the pathogenesis of asthma. The drug is administered via inhalation and aims to provide an add-on ("pre-biologic") option for patients with uncontrolled asthma who are at risk of exacerbations despite standard therapies. Early clinical data demonstrate that once-daily dosing significantly reduces airway inflammation (as measured by FeNO) and is well tolerated with low immunogenicity. The product represents a potential first-in-class inhaled biologic targeting TSLP for respiratory diseases[1][3][6][8].
