Overview

AZD9150 + durvalumab + carboplatin + nab-paclitaxel is a combination regimen studied in advanced solid tumors. AZD9150 (also known as danvatirsen or ISIS-STAT3Rx) is an antisense oligonucleotide inhibitor that targets Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3 (STAT3), suppressing tumor-related gene expression[5]. Durvalumab (MEDI4736) is a human monoclonal antibody that acts as a checkpoint inhibitor targeting the programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), restoring anti-tumor immune response[1]. Carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic that causes DNA crosslinking, leading to apoptosis. Nab-paclitaxel (albumin-bound paclitaxel) is a nanoparticle formulation of paclitaxel, disrupting microtubule function and cell division. This combination is investigated primarily in patients with advanced or recurrent non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, aiming to maximize antitumor efficacy through immunomodulation and cytotoxic chemotherapy[1][2][4][5].
