Overview
This combination drug is an investigational regimen being studied primarily in metastatic colorectal cancer. It consists of AZD9592, a novel antibody-drug conjugate targeting EGFR and c-MET, combined with 5-fluorouracil (a thymidylate synthase inhibitor antimetabolite), bevacizumab (a VEGF-A-targeting monoclonal antibody), and leucovorin (a folinic acid that enhances 5-FU activity). AZD9592 is under early-phase clinical evaluation to assess safety, tolerability, and anti-tumor activity in advanced solid tumors, including colorectal cancer, when used together with established chemotherapy and targeted agents.
