Bacillus subtilis + Enterococcus faecalis is a combination probiotic product used to support gut health. The product contains live bacterial strains of Bacillus subtilis and Enterococcus faecalis, which are considered beneficial bacteria naturally found in the human gut. This combination is used to treat and prevent gastrointestinal issues such as diarrhea, constipation, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) by modulating the intestinal microbiota. [1-1, 1-11, 8] It is also being studied for preventing ventilator-associated pneumonia. [7, 12] The product is available in different formulations, including granules and capsules. It is marketed under various brand names, such as Mamiai (妈咪爱) and Meichangan (美常安) by Beijing Hanmi Pharmaceutical. [2, 3, 8]
