batiraxcept + cabozantinib

Batiraxcept + cabozantinib is a **combination therapy** evaluated for the treatment of advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) and other kidney cancers. **Batiraxcept** is a recombinant fusion protein that binds growth arrest specific-6 (GAS6), blocking its interaction with AXL receptor tyrosine kinase, thus inhibiting downstream signaling pathways involved in cancer metastasis and therapeutic resistance. **Cabozantinib** is a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting multiple kinases including AXL, MET, and VEGFR2. This doublet is developed for patients with advanced, heavily pretreated ccRCC who have progressed on prior therapies. Clinical trials show the combination increases response rates and progression-free survival compared to batiraxcept alone, with a manageable safety profile.
