Overview

A combination of three drugs—**batiraxcept**, **cabozantinib**, and **nivolumab**—investigated for the treatment of advanced or metastatic cancers, particularly clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). - **Batiraxcept** is a recombinant fusion protein consisting of the extracellular region of human AXL fused to the Fc domain of human IgG1; it acts as a high-affinity, highly-selective inhibitor of GAS6-AXL signaling, which is implicated in tumor metastasis, angiogenesis, and resistance to therapy[1][5][3]. - **Cabozantinib** is a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting MET, VEGFR, AXL, and other kinases, used as an anti-angiogenic and antitumor agent (widely approved in renal cell carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and others)[1]. - **Nivolumab** is a fully human monoclonal antibody that selectively binds to and inhibits the programmed death-1 (PD-1) receptor, releasing inhibition of T-cell activity and enhancing antitumor immune responses[2][4][6]. This triple combination is under clinical investigation in ccRCC after prior immunotherapy; early-phase data report encouraging response rates and safety in this setting[1].
