Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BC008-1A + bevacizumab is an investigational combination therapy consisting of BC008-1A, a recombinant humanized bispecific monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and T-cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains (TIGIT), and bevacizumab, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that targets vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A). BC008-1A is designed to simultaneously block the PD-1 and TIGIT inhibitory pathways, thereby releasing T-cell suppression and enhancing anti-tumor immune activity. Bevacizumab acts as an angiogenesis inhibitor by neutralizing VEGF-A, which normalizes tumor vasculature and improves T-cell infiltration into the tumor microenvironment. Developed by Sichuan Luzhou Buchang Biopharmaceutical (a subsidiary of Shandong Buchang Pharmaceuticals) in collaboration with REMD Biotherapeutics, this combination is being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials for the treatment of adult patients with recurrent central nervous system (CNS) WHO grade 4 glioma (recurrent glioblastoma).
