Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BCG-CW@LNT is an experimental antitumor vaccine developed by researchers at Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital. It is composed of autologous or allogeneic tumor cells treated with liquid nitrogen (LNT) to preserve their cellular structure and chemotactic properties, combined with the cell wall skeleton of Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG-CW) acting as an adjuvant. In preclinical models of bladder cancer and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), BCG-CW@LNT has demonstrated the ability to promote dendritic cell maturation, enhance antigen presentation, and stimulate CD8+ T-cell and M1-type macrophage infiltration, leading to significant tumor growth inhibition and the induction of anti-tumor memory immunity with minimal systemic toxicity.
