BCMA CAR-T + CD19 CAR-T refers to a combination or dual-targeting chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy that targets both B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and CD19. These therapies are designed to recognize and eliminate tumor cells expressing either BCMA or CD19, which are antigens commonly found on malignant plasma cells in multiple myeloma and other B-cell malignancies. The mechanism of action involves genetically engineering patient-derived T cells to express synthetic receptors that bind specifically to BCMA and/or CD19 on tumor cells, leading to targeted cytotoxicity. Dual targeting aims to increase the breadth of anti-myeloma activity by reducing the risk of relapse due to antigen loss variants (e.g., BCMA-negative clones), as well as eradicating less differentiated myeloma stem-like cells expressing CD19. Early clinical studies—including those with products such as KQ-2003—have shown promising efficacy in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma patients, including those with extramedullary disease[1][4][6].
