Overview

BD0801 + paclitaxel is a combination therapy consisting of **BD0801**, a humanized rabbit anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody, and **paclitaxel**, a microtubule inhibitor chemotherapeutic agent. BD0801 blocks the interaction of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) with its receptor VEGFR2, thereby inhibiting angiogenesis and tumor growth. Paclitaxel stabilizes microtubules and prevents their disassembly, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in rapidly dividing cancer cells. The combination has been evaluated in phase III clinical trials, particularly for platinum-resistant recurrent ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancers. Preclinical studies show that BD0801 enhances antitumor effects when combined with chemotherapy agents like paclitaxel, potentially through simultaneous inhibition of angiogenesis and direct cytotoxicity to tumor cells[1][3][5].
