Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BDB001 + pembrolizumab is a combination therapy under investigation for advanced solid tumors. BDB001 is a first-in-class, intravenously administered dual toll-like receptor 7 and 8 (TLR7/8) agonist immunomodulator designed to reprogram dendritic cells and activate both innate and adaptive antitumor immunity. Pembrolizumab is a monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor. This combination aims to potentiate antitumor responses in patients, including those previously refractory to PD-(L)1 therapy. Early-phase trials have shown the combination to be well tolerated and capable of inducing rapid, durable clinical responses with robust systemic immune activation in a range of advanced solid tumors.
