Beclomethasone dipropionate + tiotropium bromide is a combination of two inhaled medications used in the management of chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Beclomethasone dipropionate is an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation by suppressing the immune response, thereby decreasing the release of inflammatory mediators and helping to keep airways open. Tiotropium bromide is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) that works as a bronchodilator by blocking muscarinic receptors in airway smooth muscle, leading to relaxation and dilation of the bronchial passages. This combination may be considered for patients whose symptoms are not adequately controlled with monotherapy or dual therapy, although fixed-dose triple combinations more commonly include an additional long-acting beta2 agonist (LABA)[4][6][9]. The combination aims to improve lung function, reduce exacerbations, and enhance quality of life in patients with moderate-to-severe asthma or COPD.
