Overview

BEE'en PLUS is a topical combination cream developed and marketed by Community Pharmacy PCL (Chumchon) in Thailand. It contains a combination of the corticosteroid triamcinolone acetonide, the aminoglycoside antibiotic neomycin sulfate, and the antifungal agent nystatin. The product is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions (dermatoses) that are complicated by, or at risk of, secondary bacterial or candidal infections. Triamcinolone acetonide provides anti-inflammatory and antipruritic effects by activating glucocorticoid receptors. Neomycin sulfate exerts antibacterial activity by binding to the bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit and inhibiting protein synthesis. Nystatin provides antifungal activity by binding to ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane, leading to membrane leakage and cell death.
