Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of bemcentinib (BGB324), a first-in-class, oral, selective and potent AXL kinase inhibitor, and erlotinib, an EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor. This combination is being investigated for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly in patients with EGFR mutations. AXL overexpression is implicated in the development of resistance to EGFR inhibitors, and AXL inhibition by bemcentinib has been shown to abrogate resistance to EGFR inhibitors in vivo.
