Acne Crème Plus is a topical combination medication containing benzoyl peroxide and miconazole nitrate. Benzoyl peroxide acts as a potent oxidizing agent with bactericidal properties, specifically targeting *Cutibacterium acnes* (formerly *Propionibacterium acnes*), while also providing keratolytic and comedolytic effects. Miconazole nitrate is an imidazole antifungal agent that also possesses antibacterial activity against certain Gram-positive bacteria. While primarily indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris, this formulation has been investigated for preoperative skin preparation in shoulder surgery to reduce the risk of postoperative infections caused by *C. acnes*, which is a common commensal of the shoulder skin.
