Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Beta-glucan + sodium hyaluronate is a topical formulation that combines two powerful skin-supporting ingredients. Beta-glucan is a polysaccharide derived from yeast, grain, or fungus that functions as a biological response modifier with immunomodulatory properties. It enhances wound repair by increasing macrophage infiltration, stimulating tissue granulation, collagen deposition, and reepithelialization. Sodium hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid) acts as a humectant that can bind up to 1000 times its weight in water, providing deep hydration and enhancing skin elasticity. Together, these ingredients create a formulation that provides barrier protection, wound healing support, anti-inflammatory effects, and intense moisturization for various skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, and dermatitis.
