This is a combination of three drugs—betamethasone, cyclosporine A, and dexamethasone—each with distinct but complementary immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory properties. Betamethasone and dexamethasone are synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroids that act as potent anti-inflammatory agents by binding to the glucocorticoid receptor, suppressing pro-inflammatory gene expression, and inhibiting immune cell recruitment. Cyclosporine A is a calcineurin inhibitor that primarily suppresses T-cell activation by inhibiting the phosphatase activity of calcineurin, thereby blocking interleukin-2 (IL-2) transcription. This combination may be used in experimental or clinical settings to achieve robust suppression of immune responses in conditions such as autoimmune diseases (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis), organ transplantation, or severe inflammatory states[2][7]. The combined use aims to leverage both broad immunosuppression from corticosteroids and targeted T-cell inhibition from cyclosporine A.
