Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of three synthetic corticosteroids—betamethasone, dexamethasone, and prednisolone. All three are potent glucocorticoids with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. They act by mimicking endogenous cortisol, binding to the glucocorticoid receptor, and modulating gene expression to suppress pro-inflammatory cytokines and immune cell activity. These drugs are used individually or in various combinations for a wide range of conditions including autoimmune diseases, allergic reactions, inflammatory disorders (such as asthma or rheumatoid arthritis), certain cancers, acute exacerbations of multiple sclerosis, and as part of supportive care in cancer therapy[1][2][3][4][10]. The combination may be considered when rapid or broad-spectrum suppression of inflammation is required.
