Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Compliderm is a topical combination therapy consisting of betamethasone dipropionate, clotrimazole, and gentamicin sulfate. Betamethasone dipropionate is a potent corticosteroid that acts as a glucocorticoid receptor agonist to provide anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects. Clotrimazole is an imidazole antifungal that inhibits lanosterol 14-alpha-demethylase, disrupting fungal cell membrane synthesis. Gentamicin sulfate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit, inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. Developed by Belmedpreparaty, Compliderm is approved as a generic version of Triderm for the treatment of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses complicated by secondary bacterial and/or fungal infections.
