Overview

This combination therapy consists of allogeneic highly active natural killer (HANK) cells and the anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody bevacizumab. Developed at Fuda Cancer Hospital in Guangzhou, the HANK cells are cultured and expanded to high purity (approximately 10 billion cells) to enhance their natural cytotoxic activity against tumor cells. Bevacizumab is added to inhibit angiogenesis by targeting vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), which may improve the infiltration and efficacy of the NK cells within the tumor microenvironment. This regimen is part of the hospital's "3C+P" treatment model and is primarily evaluated for patients with recurrent or metastatic solid tumors who have failed standard therapies.
